Statement I take photos of landscapes and specific plants I know well, often using the pictures to spark my imagination and memory while painting. I spent many years working professionally as a horticulturist. All that time spent outside provided me with a deep pool of images and feelings about land and our relationship with wild, semi-wild and cultivated places. I allow myself to change in style or method when it comes up naturally through play and exploration of the image. All work is gouache, ink and watercolor on paper. The Artist Contact: |
