This is a paper collage on heavy watercolor paper. I’ve used different glues here with the thought of adding more texture to the surface and have this texture play with the textural qualities of the imagery. Flowering tree season in NY is magical- like a dream that you wait all year to have. Except you get to walk through it! The yellow bits on either side of the top of the piece is gold gilt paper- it has a quality of changing colors- sometimes it appears yellow, sometimes green. it’s a dull sheen- not too glittery.
